Top Gun 7v7 18u National Composite Ranking includes select events across the country based on the depth of competition at each event.  The remaining teams will be released next week.

Premium has three 1st place finishes in three of the most competitive super regional tournaments in the country.

  • 1st Place at King of IE Super Regional – Wins over Nationally Ranked Ground Zero and Rharebreed
  • 1st Place at Adidas West Coast Super Regional – Featured over 15 Nationally Ranked teams including Pro Way, FSP, KT Prep, All American Pride just to name a few.  Only the Adidas Nationals had more nationally ranked teams in one tournament.
  • 1st Place at Passing Down IE Super Regional – Passing Down IE Super Regional is one of the biggest and most competitive Passing Down events on the Passing Down circuit.

#2 Tucson Turf  – 18u – National Ranking

2018 Summary
Tucson Turf has been the top program in the past two years and features on the top quarterbacks in the country, Trenton Bourget. Trenton picked up his first offer earlier this year and is expecting to continue lighting up the 7v7 and camp circuit.

1st Place at Pylon Vegas National – won the largest tournament on the circuit with wins over 3 nationally ranked teams Fire8, State48 and FSP.

1st Place at Pylon Indianapolis Regional – Pylon Indianapolis was a 17 team tournament but did not feature any teams in the top 25.  Tucson Turf defeated a top 50 nationally ranked 412 Elite in the championship game.

2018 Summary
Fire8 maybe the most talented team in the country and has 2 Super Regional wins.

1st Place at Pylon Orlando Super Regional – Pylon Super Regional was the first major tournament of the year and featured Top 25 Natioally Ranked teams Rat Pak, Miami Immortals, South Florida Express, Team Texas Swoosh and several other Top 50 teams.

1st Place at Music City Super Regional – Featured wins over Top 10 Cam Newton 7v7 in the championship game after bus breaking down on the way to the tournament on 1-95. Fire8 showed up after missing pool play and entering elimination as the bottom seed.

#4 Texas Air Raid  – 18u – National Ranking
#1 in Southwest Conference

2018 Summary
Texas Air Raid has won 3 Super Regional events that includ Top 25 nationally ranked teams including True Buzz, Team Texas Elite, Mississippi Grind, Cam Newton 7v7, Unsigned Preps and Fast Arkansas.  Texas Air Raid is a combined 28-1 this season and feature to slot receivers

1st Place Elite 32 Dallas Texas – Texas Air Raid went undefeated and beat nationally ranked Mississippi Grind in the championship game. The tournament included Team Texas Elite, Fast Arkansas and True Buzz.

1st Place EndZone Super Regional – Texas Air Raid was dominant at one of the most competitive tournaments in Texas.

1st Place Elite 32 Tampa Super Regional – Texas Air Raid made the trip from Texas to Florida and went undefeated for the tournament and beat Top 10 nationally ranked Cam Newton 7v7 in the championship game.

2018 Summary
South Florida Express won the most competitive tournament in the country with almost 20 teams in the Top Gun 7v7 Top 25.

1st Place at Adidas National Championship  – the Adidas National Championship was the most competitive tournament of the 2018 season and no other tournament will feature more nationally ranked teams.

Fire 8 Wins Pylon Orlando

Fire 8 – The New #1

Fire 8 did not waist anytime claiming the #1 spot in the Top Gun 7v7 National Composite Rankings.  Fire went undefeated with wins over 4 nationally ranked teams including a won point win in the championship game.

Top Gun 7v7 has released the Youth Top 25.

Pre-Season Top 25

Now that most of the top programs from around the country have hosted tryouts, we will be releasing the 2018 Top Gun 7v7 Pre-Season Rankings.  These rankings are based on a combination of 2017 results but more importantly the 2018 rosters.

After feedback from 7v7 coaches and the media that cover these events, Top Gun 7v7 will only include certain events in its 2018 Team Rankings. This year only 4 tournaments per team will be used toward composite rankings. The computer rankings will include all tournament points.

2018 Preview – Tucson Turf was an easy pick for the 2018 Top Gun 7v7 Pre-Season ranking.  Tucson Turf returns every starter from a 2017 team that won a perfect 5 out of 5 tournaments including the prestigious Pylon National Championship.  Tucson Turf will be lead by the 2017 Top Gun 7v7 Quarterback of the Year, Trenton Bourguet.

2018 Preview – Team GUTS is the #2 team in our 2018 Pre-Season rankings and arguably the most talented.  Team GUTS won the 2017 IMG National Championship and has one of the best defensive units in the country featuring Jontae Dobson and a host of other teammates from the  2017 6A Indiana High School State Champion team which also finished the seasoned ranking #3 nationally.

2018 Preview – The 2017 Boom Black team was the most dominant team last year and possibly the most dominant team in the history of 7v7 by featuring two major tournament wins in the same weekend in Orlando Florida last year. The 2018 version of Boom Black has some very big shoes to fill and everyone in the country wants to see if Boom can repeat its dominance in 2018. Boom was the only elite team to travel to two national championship tournaments last year and finished in 2nd place in both.

2018 Preview – Although Hustle Inc is in its first year as a 7v7 team the program’s founder is not new to the 7v7 landscape. Tony Ballard was the head coach of last year national power house FSS. The Hustle Inc’s roster is absolutely loaded with talent on both sides of the ball and features two elite signal callers who might end up being the #1 quarterback in the their class. Tony has the luxury of having Harrison Bailey (Projected #1 QB in 2020) and Aaaron McLaughlin (Projected #1 QB in 2021).

2018 Preview – Nationally ranked Heir Football Academy is led by former Super Bowl Champion Reggie Jones. He brought a lot of talent with him to Heir Football Academy this season and he looks to continue his tradition of national dominance. Reggie established himself as force on the 7v7 circuit last year by traveling to Los Angeles as the head coach of Rise Football and winning the Players of the Future.  Reggie also traveled to Florida and finishing in the final 4 at the IMG National Championship. Everyone wants to know if Reggie and Heir Football Academy can remain in the Top Gun 7v7 top 10 now that everyone knows who they are.

2018 Preview – Florida Fire is a national power house every and was TopGun7v7’s pick to win the NFA National Championship last year.  Fire was missing some key roster pieces in the championship tournament last year that resulting in a less than normal Fire finish.  Fire will be locked in this year and set for a run at the #1 spot.

2018 Preview – Mississippi Grind feature several nationally ranked prospects including Jarrion Ealy, Dannis Jackson, Brandon Turnage, Diwun Black, Kevin Barnett, Jarrian Jones, Hakeem Vance and Zach Edwards.  Mississippi Grind will be a dominate force on the circuit this year.

2018 Preview – Ground Zero  always does a great job developing young talent.  Although you may not know the names on the Ground Zero roster today, by the end of the year they will be recruited by every college in the country.  Ground Zero does feature Jeremiah Criddell, Shawn Dollars and Darren Jones.

2018 National Championship Events

TopGun7v7 will determine its 2018 national rankings based on tournament results.  Top Gun 7v7 has classified tournaments into National Championships, Super Regionals and Regional tournaments based on the depth of competition at the event.  These are the 2018 National Championships that will carry the most weight toward national rankings.

Events are listed in chronological order.

Pylon Tournaments

Pylon Mesquite / Vegas

The Pylon Vegas tournament has set records in terms of the number of teams that travel to Nevada every February.  Although this is not Pylon’s end of the year National Championship, this event is projected to have twice the number of teams as any other National Championship.  Since this event has moved from Las Vegas to Mesquite Nevada, some elite teams have decided not to attend, but this event will still be loaded with talent.

The Elite 32 National Invitational (18u, 15u, 14u, 12u)

The Elite 32 is a charity event that focuses on raising awareness for the Avery Huffman Defeat DIPG Foundation.  This event will feature some of the top teams in the country that are in support of the Avery Huffman Defeat DIPG Foundation.

Adidas National Invitational

Adidas National Championship (18u)

Although the Adidas National is only 32 teams, it may be the most talent packed event of the year.  It is a quality over quantity event.  The down side of the event is the fact that it includes only Adidas sponsored teams.

Players of The Future

Players of the Future - Best of the States National Championship

This Best of the States Championship Tournament includes winners and runner ups from several qualifying events.  This event pays for travel and lodging to the national championship game for all qualifying teams.  Several nationally ranked teams have committed to play in this series for the chance to win an all expense trip to Los Angeles.

Passing Down - Best of the West National Championship

This Best of the West Tournament includes the top 18 qualifying teams from 7 qualifying events that are located on the west coast.  Although this event primarily includes only West Coast teams, The Passing Down Best of the West is always as competitive as any other National Championship event on the circuit.  Majority of the nationally ranked teams on the West Coast plan on attending.

National 7v7 Association High School National Championship (18u, 15u)

The National 7v7 Association National Championship Game will be hosted in Atlanta Georgia.  Several nationally ranked teams from across the country are already planning to play in this National Championship event.

NFA 7v7 National Championship (18u, 15u)

NFA 7v7 National Championship has always been on the most prestigious events on the circuit.  This event will include several teams that have qualified and regional and super regional events from all over the country.

Pylon Tournaments

Pylon National Championship (18u, 15u, Youth)

Pylon Nationals is hosted at the Dallas Cowboys complex and has always been one of the most competitive and exciting events on the circuit.  Pylon Nationals is one of the most difficult events on the circuit to win.

Beast Youth National Championship (14u, 12u, 10u, 8u)

The Beast Youth National Championship will be player at Florida State University and will feature youth teams from across the country that all want to be crowned the Beast Youth National Champion.

National 7v7 Association Youth National Championship (14u, 12u, 10u, 8u)

The National 7v7 Association Youth National Championship will be hosted at the Rocky Top Sports complex in the mountains of Tennessee.  This is a family fun event that features team cabin lodging.  Teams will be qualifying at events across the country.

The Pinnacle Event (14u, 12u, 10u, 8u)

The Pinnacle Event is the final event of the summer 7v7 circuit before kids put the pads back on in August.  This event will include the top youth teams from around the country who want to compete for the ring and be considered the champions at The Pinnacle.
